Mark Gottsegen attended the ASTM D01.57 meeting in Atlanta, January 29-30 2012. Revision of D6901 for colored pencils was approved for balloting, mainly involving the lightfastness test methods being used; the round-robin test of a method of assessing acrylic dispersion pre-primed, pre-stretched canvas will be repeated; a new standard for the quality and performance of inkjet printing materials will be drafted for comments. The next meeting of D01.57 will be held in Orlando, FL, in conjunction with the annual NAMTA International Trade Show, May 9, 2012. AMIEN is now able to accept tax-deductible gifts. Its 501(c)(3) application is pending.
